Privacy Policy

Your privacy is the whole point of a self-hosted verifier. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to a PDF when you upload it to PDF Signature Verify (the "Service") at https://pdfsignature.in.

1. What we process

When you upload a PDF to verify its digital signature, the file is received by our server, parsed to read the embedded signature and certificate, and then used to compute a verification verdict. We do not require an account, name, phone number or any personal registration to use the Service.

2. Automatic deletion

Uploaded PDFs and any generated audit reports are stored only transiently and are automatically deleted within two (2) hours by a scheduled cleanup routine. We do not build a library of your documents and we do not read their contents beyond what is technically required to validate the signature.

3. The "verified copy"

The green-tick "verified copy" is generated inside your own browser using client-side JavaScript. That rendered copy is created on your device and is not uploaded back to us.

4. No third-party file sharing

We never sell, rent or share your uploaded files with any third party. Verification runs on our own server using the OpenSSL library and a bundled trust store of Indian CCA certificates — no external verification API is called with your document.

5. Advertising & cookies

The Service is free and is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. Where required by law we will request consent before setting non-essential cookies.

6. Server logs & security

Like most websites, our host may keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and abuse-prevention. These logs are not linked to the contents of any uploaded document. All uploads are validated to be genuine PDFs and are size-limited.

7. Children

The Service is intended for general and business use and is not directed at children under 13.

8. Your choices

Because we do not create user accounts or retain your files, there is normally no personal data for us to export or erase. If you believe we hold any information about you, email us and we will address it promptly.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
